Liquid capital and net worth requirements, explained

Two qualification thresholds, often confused, that measure different things.

Many franchisors state minimum financial qualifications for new owners.

    Liquid capital

Liquid capital is money available quickly: cash, savings, and assets that can be readily sold. It usually excludes home equity and retirement accounts that can't be accessed without penalty.

    Net worth

Net worth is everything owned minus everything owed, including property and retirement savings.

    How to read them

These are entry thresholds the franchisor sets. Meeting them does not mean the investment is affordable or suitable, and the full investment may need more cash than the liquid capital minimum.

    Where they come from

These figures often appear in listings rather than formal disclosures. On Franopolis they carry their source label and year like everything else.
